Principal User Researcher, Mixed Methods

We are looking for an experienced mixed methods researcher with deep experience in quant methodologies as well as both UX and market research to join our Insights team. As an insights expert, you will be responsible for helping define and drive the future of our products. You will plan and lead generative and evaluative research end-to-end.

Responsibilities include investigating user behavior, attitudes and motivations using empirical research based on mixed methods. You will understand key trends in the HR space, reveal unmet needs, customers’ perceptions of the product and the brand, what could be differentiated value propositions for our products, what drives customer satisfaction and loyalty, which bundles of features may provide the highest value to our customers. You will passionately advocate for user insights through oral and written presentations, and contribute to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture.




  • Drive large scale, multi-country research, i.e., brand tracking, value proposition research, positioning research, segmentation studies, personas, pricing studies, satisfaction and loyalty studies, usability testing
  • Integrate primary and secondary data into the insights process to develop a compelling point of view
  • Develop the research toolkit and build team workflows that will ensure research quality and team efficiency
  • Communicate, advocate for, and socialize actionable insights in a compelling way
  • Partner with marketing and product stakeholders to guide product development and refinement, understanding their strategies and needs, discovering roadblocks, and prioritizing research
  • Drive toward team goals and expectations focused on mutual accountability
  • Demonstrate and teach others how to apply a range of research methods, comprehending the balance and trade-offs between scrappy research and rigor




  • 15+ years of research experience in the field of market and user research with a proven record of driving change through research insights
  • Proven proficiency in applying quantitative and qualitative research methods to impact business decisions
  • Extensive experience conducting quantitative research while balancing rigor and speed, including: market or customer segmentation studies and personas, value proposition research, positioning and messaging research, pricing studies, satisfaction and loyalty studies
  • Experience in scaling and evangelizing user research within the broader organization in creative ways to increase empathy
  • Outstanding communicator both verbally and in writing
  • Experience at a scaling or scaled, enterprise-company
  • A strong desire for creative problem-solving, tolerance for ambiguity and excellent time-management skills



Preferred Qualification

  • Ability to conduct research in English and at least one of the following additional languages: German, Spanish, Dutch
