The HP Print Design organization is seeking an expert-level User Experience designer who can bring a new perspective to designing world-class help and support experiences for HP’s portfolio of products and services. The candidate selected for this role will be a passionate advocate for user assistance that is thoughtfully and artfully integrated into the overall product design.

 

As a key member of the Print Solutions UX team, you will:

  • Lead multiple project teams of designers and development partners in the design of a consolidated user-centric help and support strategy across HP’s printer platforms and service offerings, which includes experience/information architecture, user validation, and interaction specifications
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects and activities within the Print Design organization and with partner organizations within HP
  • Manage, educate, and expand UX thinking with a focus on user assistance and content strategy
  • Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with current UX guidelines and standards; provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and user experience
  • Provide domain-specific expertise in user-assistance strategies integrated into overall user experience design
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

 

 

As a proven UX designer in the user-assistance domain, you will possess:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Design, Human Factors Engineering, Social Sciences research, or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience
  • Broad experience with the application of design theories, principles, and concepts to a portfolio of information technology and consumer products and services
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expert knowledge and experience in designing and implementing research and data collection plans for user experience testing and acceptance
  • Proven experience in reviewing and evaluating designs for alignment with overall product architecture, as well as recommending and implementing designs and technologies that improve product quality and overall user experiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English
  • Confidence and ability to effectively present user experience data, design proposals, and product specifications to senior managers and executives
