Despite its name, the Conference’s scope has broadened over the years to include all the creative sectors; in recent years it has been dubbed by some as The Conference on Creativity. In 2005, Design Indaba Conference was awarded the EIBTM award for Best Conference in the World and won Best Live Event at the Loerie Awards 2007.
