UX Researcher IV

UX Researcher IV will influence product design decisions with data driven insights. This person will play a critical role in the user experience of Aya’s web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

  • Be an influential member of a cross-functional team, championing the voice of the customer across the organization.
  • Independently own and drive research projects from beginning to end by identifying the right research questions, defining the participant sample, choosing the best methodology, designing the study, and executing with attention to detail and a high level of rigor.
  • Effectively present compelling insights and recommendations to multiple teams and leaders across the organization, leveraging strong storytelling skills to drive customer-centric decision-making.
  • Set the quality standard for the UX Research team through expert delivery of high-quality artifacts that tell compelling stories integrated with research findings.
  • Consistently demonstrate research impact across the organization through your research efforts.
  • Model a growth mindset by actively seeking and providing feedback, experimenting with new approaches, working to expand your skillset, and mentoring other researchers to help them grow.
  • Actively contribute to the UX Research team culture by iterating on existing processes and documentation, proposing and implementing solutions that will enable the entire team to work more efficiently and enhance the quality of research practices and deliverables across the team.

 

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience conducting user research
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Social Sciences, Psychology, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience conducting research for desktop and mobile applications
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment
  • Proficient in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods and approaches
  • Ability to balance ideal research methodologies (what should be done) with pragmatism (what can be done given current time and resources)
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience, including partnering with product management, design, marketing, and other key stakeholders to facilitate constructive debate, align product and design strategies, and deliver insights in a compelling narrative that drives change
  • Naturally organized, able to work autonomously, with the ability to quickly re-prioritize projects in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
