UX Design Awards 2022 will be holding its award ceremony online on 1 March 2022. The event will be streamed live on its official website and LinkedIn on 1 March, from 5 pm Central European Time (San Francisco 8 am, New York City 11 am, São Paulo 1 pm, London 4 pm, Bangalore 9:30 pm).
The UX Design Awards are a global competition for excellent experiences. Entrants can compete in three categories. Two are geared to the professional sector: “Product” for market-ready or new products, services, and experiential environments, and “Concept” for prototypes, service concepts, conceptual environments, advanced design studies, and research projects. The third category, “New Talent,” is aimed at up-and-coming designers: students and graduates can enter their bachelor and master projects.
“We honor innovative and positive experience design across all industries,” said Ake Rudolf, strategic director of the International Design Center Berlin, the organizer of the competition. “An important part of our mission is to give visibility to the people who are responsible for the award-winning solutions – the designers!”
The submission deadline for #UXDA22 is 30 November 2021. Among all submissions, the expert jury will nominate a limited number of solutions to compete in the UX Design Awards. From the nominated projects, the jury then selects the winners. Out of these, it can choose a “Gold” winner in each category, who is considered the “Best of the Best” in the competition. In addition, users worldwide decide on the winner of the UX Design Award | Public Choice in an online vote.
UX Design Awards now with two Awards seasons per year
Starting in 2022, the UX Design Awards will be held twice a year. The submission period for the first Awards season runs from 1 September to 30 November 2021; the first #UXDA22 Awards Ceremony is planned for 1 March 2022. The submission period for the second Awards season runs from 1 March to 31 May 2022. Winners will be announced on 1 September 2022.
