The AppleCare Digital Team is seeking a Product Designer with experience in design systems. Join us to scale design standards and patterns across web and native applications for support driven experiences. Responsibilities
Help scale design within AppleCare experiences. This role takes on design system contribution from ideation and research to creation of artifacts and published documentation. Help advise stakeholders in understanding common design patterns and champion new changes to an ever-green set of guidance and frameworks.
Systems thinking. You delight in scaling every aspect of the design making process from patterns and consistency to color use, typography, and subtle details, all contributing to creating seamless and enjoyable user experiences. Strong collaboration skills, composure under pressure, and adaptability to rapid change are essential. We seek a dedicated individual deeply passionate about Apple’s high standards and design aesthetic.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in building design systems.
- A strong portfolio showcasing the way you think and work.
- Proficiency in using Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Keynote, and similar tools.
- Create, iterate, and refine design system components, including flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
- Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity and change.
- Passion for Apple, our products, and our customers.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in leading strategy and decision making for design systems
- Create design standards and patterns across various experiences and platforms
- Mentor and support other designers and cross-functional members on standard design patterns and decisions
- Navigate an agile work environment and perform key tasks within sprints.
- Competent with known accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with visual design and illustration skills.
