About the Role

The UX Designer / Strategist will support the Strategy Director & Head of Experience with all strategy and experience design work. This is a hands on role which will involve primary and secondary research support, reporting/analytics generation, facilitator support in workshops, drafting creative briefs, some knowledge of tools such as Figma, inputting into strategic responses and delivering experience & user design.

This role will work across numerous Clients for the agency.

  • Embrace Human Centred Design – leverage the HCD toolkit across traditional XD projects and Brand and Communications projects
  • Partner with Client Service– able to work closely in a collaborative relationship with account managers to take briefs, presentations/meetings – checking in with the Strategy Director & Head of Experience as required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand & CX Strategy Leadership – Inject best-in-class strategy and thinking into the strategy team and agency
  • Productisation of a VMLY&R Brand Offering – Lead the creation of a proprietary VMLY&R brand & CX process & tools (i.e. workshops, research) that can be sold into clients
  • Best In Class Strategy – Shape VMLY&R’s strategic responses to business problems by combining the best digital, CX and brand thinking
  • New Business Champion – Autonomously and effectively distill client briefs, craft and deliver strategic responses for New Business pitches
  • Awards – Champion award winning work and the crafting of compelling award entries
  • Brand / UI / Behavioural – Work alongside UI & Strategy to develop new ways of bringing brand experience to life via platforms

 

 

Required Experience/Skills/Capabilities

  • 2+ years of strategic problem-finding and solving skills, research & XD design experience
  • Experience designing and running workshops & co-creation workshops
  • Confidence presenting to Senior Clients / C-Level Execs
  • Crafting high-level presentations using storytelling to define the challenge and strategic solution
  • Deep understanding of the HCD and CX strategic and design methodology
  • Experience and confidence in UX and UI design, and communicating with technical delivery teams
  • Able to drive all data research and inputs required for a strategy – both primary and secondary research experience (e.g. desktop research, supporting focus groups, social/search analytics, co-creation workshops, interviews, contextual enquiries surveys. etc)
  • Some experience across different flavours of strategy – brand, connections, digital, CX, UX and beyond
  • Some proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Sales Force Social Studio, Facebook Business Manager & Creator Studio, and Google Analytics to assist with reporting/insights
