Senior UX Researcher

As an integral member of our Design Strategy and Research team, you will work on a broad range of products. This is an incredible opportunity to get down into the trenches of a growing product, work with cutting-edge technologies, and solve interesting problems daily.

 

Get to know the Role:

  • Work hands-on with product managers, designers, executive leadership and subject matter experts to identify and prioritize research opportunities.
  • Conduct independent research on multiple user profiles such as drivers, passengers, merchants and other relevant verticals.
  • Collect and analyze user behavior through in-depth qualitative research, mixed methods, benchmark studies, usability lab studies, surveys and other appropriate methodologies.
  • Create artefacts and frameworks to ground teams in customer centric thinking, such as journey mapping, blueprinting, personas, etc.
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations and persuade relevant teams to implement the recommended changes.
  • Transform insights to actions by suggesting concepts and/or facilitating the team through a co-creative process to decide next steps.

 

 

The must-have’s:

  • MA/MS degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology, human-computer interaction, human factors engineering, industrial engineering, cognitive science, information sciences, related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of industry work experience in an applied research setting.
  • Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.

 

The good-to-have’s:

  • Experience with usability testing tools such as Camtasia, Morae, Tobii etc. Experience with analysis and presentation tools such as Excel, SPSS, PowerPoint etc.
  • Strong understanding of the design thinking/human centred design process.
  • Basic understanding of the domain expertise of partner teams such as design
  • Strong working knowledge of statistics, survey design, interviewing, and the principles of experiment design.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills and presentation skills.
