INTERACTION 20 - A New Dawn. We are working in an era with ever-evolving contexts and boundaries. The results have far-reaching impact, unexpected benefits and consequences. We will explore the meaning and evolution of interaction design by hearing from the brightest minds in design, as well as science, philosophy, psychology and even industry.
World Interaction Design Day 2021 (IxDD 2021) is an annual event where we come together as a united global community to show how interaction design improves the human condition. Our aim is to have a positive, long-lasting impact by facilitating activities that support dialogue and outcomes. This year’s edition of IxDD will continue to be primarily a digital-first experience. We’ll come together, but apart, through regional live stream events from around the world.
Interaction Latin America 2021 (ILA21), Latin America's largest conference on interaction design, user experience, technology, and innovation, will be held virtually this year. The main event, which will last 3 days, is expected to attract over a thousand participants and international talent with an interest in design. The central concept of the eleventh edition of the ILA is "Growing from Strength", and through talks and workshops, it aims to create a space where it is possible to question the objectivity of the data.
Navigating the last year has revealed truths. Our shared experience underlines the importance of connection, collaboration and community. Gathering together is something we value — even when doing it online. Equally, though this is a global phenomenon, our experiences have been very different. We must redesign systems and structures to be equitable and inclusive. We only succeed when our efforts are truly human-centered.
Interaction 23, IxDA's annual interaction design week, is taking place in a hybrid format this year from February 25 to March 3, 2023. The much anticipated Interaction conference will be held at Zurich Convention Centre in Switzerland from March 1 - 3, 2023. The virtual segment will offer live streaming of the conference proceedings from the event venue. Apart from the conference, a host of activities from summits, workshops to retreats have been scheduled throughout the week.
World Interaction Design Day 2023, a global celebration of interaction design's ability to improve the human condition, will take place on September 26, 2023. This year’s theme encompasses ethics in design, designing for accessibility, inclusive and responsible design, and anti-capitalist design.
Interaction 24, the annual interaction design week designated by IxDA, will take place from February 25 to March 1, 2024 in Sydney, Australia. Themed "Revisit. Reframe. Regenerate", a host of activities from education summit, leaders retreat, workshops, to conferences with the aim of refreshing one's knowledge in the interaction design industry await all participants at this 6-day event. For those who are unable to make it to Sydney, online ticket with livestreaming is also available.
